About Memorial Players Memorial Players is an education and outreach program of Memorial Episcopal Church, a diverse community in historic Bolton Hill near downtown Baltimore celebrating its 150th anniversary worshiping God and serving people. For its 10th annual musical, Memorial Players brought to life the message of the Gospel according to Matthew in the production of "Godspell" in 2011. In 2010, the Memorial Players musical, "Annie," brought together a talented cast including 50 children and teenagers, plus dozens of other generous volunteers working behind the scenes, carrying the spirit of Memorial to community members of all ages. "Annie" followed the Memorial Players production "Gracious Virtues" (a series of scenes from "The Miracle Worker," "The Diary of Anne Frank," and "The Gift of the Magi) performed in December 2009 and eight musicals: "The Sound of Music" (2009), "Mame" (2008), "CATS" (2007), "Music Man" (2006), "Fiddler on the Roof" (2005), "Brigadoon" (2004), "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" (2003), and the production that kicked off the musical theater program at Memorial Episcopal, "Jesus Christ Superstar," which was performed as part of Palm Sunday services in 2002. For photo galleries and other materials from previous years' musicals, visit the Musicals page. Memorial Players auditions and performances are open to all at no charge. There are also many opportunities to support and participate in Memorial Players productions as volunteers and sponsors. The productions depend on voluntary contributions of time, talent, materials, and funds to cover all expenses.
